Our packaging

When designing our packaging, we take great care to ensure that you can use our products safely while reducing our environmental footprint and waste.

surfactants

Our packaging developers are continuously working on packaging with the lowest possible use of materials and with materials for which public recycling systems exist. Because we consider our products throughout their entire life cycle, we also consider the disposal or recycling of packaging materials. The aim is to achieve a closed-loop recycling system for plastics, as has long been established for paper, for example.

Today, all Persil packaging is already recyclable if disposed of correctly. In addition, we want to increase the proportion of already recycled plastic in our packaging in the coming years and also use bio-plastic.

Persil Liquid

Bottles of our detergents are always made of unmixed plastic and are recyclable. When their content is used up, the empty bottles can be easily fed into the recycling process via e.g. the yellow bin. We are continuously working to improve the sustainable footprint across the whole range.

Persil Duo Caps and Persil Discs

As the water-soluble cover of our caps must be protected from moisture in the air, Persil Duo-Caps and 4in1 Discs are offered in a packaging that combines plastic and stabilising cardboard. The packaging is 100% recyclable and saves 40% in plastic compared to the previously available design, which was made entirely of plastic. Once the caps or discs have been used up, the cardboard and the single-variety plastic in the box can be easily separated and fed separately into the recycling process: the plastic into the recycling bin provided and the cardboard into the paper collection bin.

Keep caps from kids

As the safety of children is of paramount importance to us, all our closures have a child lock and a safety pictogram on the pack indicates correct product storage.
